EVENT POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

We are aware that many of you are asking questions about CoreNet Canada events given that COVID-19 is currently presenting a global challenge regarding travel and event attendance.

We feel strongly that it is our collective responsibility to focus on the facts and to act with common sense and sound judgment, taking the advice of the relevant Canadian and International health authorities. We are also considering the realities being faced by our members and stakeholders concerning their corporate policies around travel and event attendance.

Mindful of our duty of care, the Leadership Council of CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter has considered all the facts and has determined that it is in the best interest of the association, its members and stakeholders, to postpone events scheduled for March & April. While we regret having to make this decision, we know that it is the right decision.

It is our hope that the threat by COVID-19 will diminish over time and that we can get back to some normalcy in the weeks and months ahead.

For anyone who has registered for upcoming events in March and April, please be patient with us as we work to refund your payment.

Thank you for your understanding and your support as we negotiate around this unfortunate set back.

Re-imagining How We Work – GCcoworking

The Government of Canada has launched GCcoworking, a two-year pilot project providing Federal employees access to shared inter-departmental alternative workspaces. These spaces provide greater flexibility in where and how employees work which will contribute towards building an even more flexible and collaborative public service.

Five co-working sites have been established in key locations across the National Capital Region (NCR).  These locations will serve as a temporary touchdown point for employees travelling between meetings or a temporary workspace for employees who telework and need access to boardrooms or other office amenities.

Sonia Powell, Director General, Real Property Service’s Workplace Solutions will provide an overview of the GCcoworking initiative and the long-term vision to enable public servants to be able to work from anywhere, anytime and collaborate on any device. The Government of Canada is reimagining how it works. Please join us for a unique opportunity to learn more about the GCcoworking initiative and tour one of the five new NCR locations.
