This session will provide a discussion on the SEAM (social equity assessment method) Standard, which was developed to overcome the challenges of implementing internationally accepted social frameworks into real estate projects. The SEAM Certification serves as a roadmap to guide project owners through activities that address social impacts for all stakeholders of a project in ways that contribute to both benchmarking and reporting, and actual positive social impact. SEAM Certification™ helps companies leverage commercial real estate to create positive social impact in their communities and the world and is the first social impact standard for commercial real estate, globally. This examination of the SEAM Certification design will provide guidance, processes, and structure that can be applied to any organization to overcome challenges of effort vs effect.
